Alexandria Earth Day 2009 was held on April 25th at Ben Brenman Park with alternative transport as this year's theme.

ACTIVITIES:

• Earth Day Tree Sale
• Presto Compost Bins Sale
• Performance by Blue Sky Puppets presenting Bananas, a performance aimed at teaching youngsters the benefit of exercise and good nutrition
• exhibits by local environmental organizations
• launch of the Eco-City Action Plan Phase II

HOW DO WE GET TO BEN BRENMAN PARK?

SCHEDULE

Throughout the festival there will be stands and displays and the
Environmental Nature Walk along the stream will be there for both
relaxation and education.

Remember - the theme is 'Alternative Transport'. So take the Green Route
and come by DASH. If you have never been on a DASH bus before, now is
the time. The DASH bus that you can take is AT-8 on Duke Street.
